Bamboo fence, mounting and maintenance
Ensure that all sections face the same way up and down. On one edge all the bamboo is cut at a knot to avoid cavities where rain could penetrate. This edge should face upwards. The fencing poles are untreated pine and must be treated with wood stain. The bamboo is naturally protected by a layer of silicon, but should however, regularly be painted with a clear wood stain both to extend the life of the fence and to maintain its yellow colour and avoid algae.
Removing stains, discoloration on granite
Oxalic acid is very efficient. Mix with hot water as prescribed on the bottle.
The water in my fountain is no longer clear
If it is very bad you should remove the stone and empty the bucket and clean it. Clean the pump and fill up with water again. You could add an algae treatment ? but then the fountain should be out of reach for children, dogs etc.
My pump has lost pressure
If the pump has been running for a long time you should turn it off, take it out of the water and clean the filter. Also it is a good idea to place the pump on a small brick on the bottom of the bucket. This will prevent sediment passing through the pump.
Does a fountain use a lot of water
The consumption of water is minimal as it is the same water which circulate. During warm periods you should take care that you fill up the bucket now and then.
My waterfall is loosing water
The problem could be that the upper part of your waterfall is not in the same area as the reservoir. Also remember always to seal the upper part of your waterfall with silicone around the hose in the hole of the stone.
My fountain stone is unstable
We suggest that tall and slim fountain stones are always installed with a safety unit. Especially if the stone is within reach of young children.
Do I have to empty my reservoir before winter time.
Yes if temperature goes below freezing point you should empty the reservoir. Remember to cover the reservoir so that water will not collect during winter.
Can I have my fountain indoor
We do not recommend to use the fountains indoor. However, if you do you should always secure that no water is splashing outside the stone. When installing indoor it is at one?s own risk.
I need new wick for my fire stone
You can buy extra wicks in your garden center.
